Love it! Love it! Love it! It's such an easy way to make a quick little meal. I only cook for myself, but I use it to make all different kinds of meals. I have baggies in the freezer of different meats already cut up, and I just grab a bunch, let them thaw, and throw in a few other things. It's really great. The only thing I am not crazy about in that some of the cheese (and I use a lot) gets stuck in the lip. Not a real problem but just thought I would mention. It's really fun to cook with. Really cheap to purchase too. What are you waiting for?! Just buy it, and use it. You'll be glad you did!

We got this after a 25 free gift card so thought why not get something we would never buy with our own money! Turned out to be a nice little gift. We've only used it once but we loved how it made the Quesadillas....they tasted great. It really made the exterior part taste delicious and that's what made our kids like it too! We can't speak for the durability because we've only used it once but it looks like it might hold up for repeated uses. If you have the chance to get one on sale or get a gift card, this would be an excellent purchase!

I received this a few years ago as a Christmas gift from the in-laws. I must admit, I wondered how I would make room in my kitchen for something that would be a seldom-used appliance. Well, a few years later, this is a staple for my family. Each member can choose whatever they want for toppings. Gave this as a gift to my sister and it works really nice. It can get a bit messy if you over-stuff the quesadillas, but otherwise it is really easy to use and making quesadillas can be a breeze.

Well, the plates do not come off easily, so it's hard to clean.

You can only make very thin quesadillas. Try to fit in anything other than a thin layer of cheese, and it squirts out everywhere.

Oh, and you can only make quesadillas with it. Don't try to get creative and make anything else, because it's just too thin.

If the unit had detachable plates, and the plates were deeper so that you could fit more goodies, it would be much better.

I have a couple of these and find them well priced and excellent for their intended use(s). However, I was perplexed by the many comments made by amazon customers relating to the label and the problems with it's removal. Here's how it's done EASILY... soak the warmer in a sink of hot tap water (as hot as you can get - DO NOT BOIL IT), the paper label will peel off fairly easily with the aid of your thumb nail and let it dry. What remains is a thin film of glue residue. Use liquid lighter fluid (zippo, ronson, etc. - NOT CHARCOAL LIGHTER) and apply it with an old cloth. The film will easily come off without damage to the plastic underneath. Rewash and you're home free.

These are exactly what you see at many restaurants and they work perfect. They require handwashing but at least work in the microwave. This is one of the best deals I've found online.

I agree with everyone else - it isn't deep enough to hold an entire batch of homemade tortillas.
If you want it for this purpose, you might want to get 2.

It's nice looking and sturdy, and keeps tortillas very warm. The lid is easy to remove and fits well. It's snug enough to stay on but very easy to get off. Looks nice on the table.
